Bethel Church of Redding is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Training Manager to join our Security department. As the Training Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive training programs to ensure the safety and security of our staff, volunteers, and visitors. You will work closely with the Security department leadership to assess training needs, design training curriculums, and deliver effective training sessions.

Our Security department is committed to creating a safe and secure environment for all members and visitors of Bethel Church. We are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of safety and implementing proactive measures to prevent any potential risks or threats.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Security department leadership to assess training needs and develop training objectives.
  • Create and implement training programs for Security personnel, including orientation training, emergency response training, de-escalation techniques, and crowd management.
  • Design and deliver training sessions using a variety of teaching methods, such as classroom training, hands-on exercises, and scenario-based training.
  • Develop training materials, including presentations, manuals, and job aids.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and security regulations and industry best practices.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security threats, trends, and advancements in training techniques.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to leverage specialized training resources, as needed.

    Salary Range : $46,000 -$52,000/year

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in security or law enforcement, with a focus on training and development.
  • Proven track record of designing and delivering effective training programs.
  • Strong knowledge of security procedures, emergency response protocols, and crowd management techniques.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively deliver training to security personnel of different experience levels.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in using training tools and technologies, such as learning management systems and multimedia software.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Certifications in security management or training development are preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
