The team

The mission of the Educational Services department is to empower individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to maximize the benefits of our cutting-edge EV charging solutions. 

We achieve this by developing and delivering comprehensive educational programs and initiatives tailored to both internal teams and external stakeholders. These programs cover essential aspects including installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our EV charging solutions. 

Our goal is to enhance the professionalism of employees and partners, ultimately contributing to the overall success of the business. Through fostering collaboration, leveraging industry expertise, and employing innovative training methodologies, we ensure that our customers and partners are fully equipped to deploy and utilize our solutions effectively, thereby driving sustainability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

The Role

We are seeking a dedicated professional to manage projects, maintain client relationships, and ensure timely delivery of services while meeting quality standards.

As a Trainer Engineer, you will be a crucial member of our dynamic team, ensuring the efficient delivery of educational programs and initiatives aimed at optimizing the advantages of our EV charging solutions, with special focus on DC Fast Charging and Business’ solutions. 

Reporting to the Educational Services Manager, you will be tasked with designing, developing, and implementing training materials and curriculum, as well as conducting engaging and effective training sessions to impart comprehensive knowledge and skills to internal and external stakeholders.

Overall, the Training Engineer plays a pivotal role in driving the professional development of employees and partners, thereby contributing to the successful deployment and utilization of our EV charging solutions and the attainment of organizational objectives.

Daily Tasks of the Role

In this position, you will engage in a variety of daily tasks that are essential to our operations. Each day will present you with unique challenges and responsibilities that contribute to the overall success of our team. You will be responsible for monitoring and managing workflows, ensuring that projects meet their deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards. Collaboration with team members will be a key aspect of your role, as you will frequently participate in meetings, provide updates, and share insights to foster a productive work environment.

Additionally, you will analyze data and generate reports to keep stakeholders informed about progress and results, enabling informed decision-making. Your proactive approach will be crucial in identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions that enhance efficiency. Throughout your daily activities, you will also be expected to stay updated with industry trends and best practices, continuously seeking opportunities for professional growth and development.

  • Assist in the design and development of training materials.
  • Conduct training sessions, workshops, and seminars.
  • Gain hands-on experience with products and charging solutions to understand functionality.
  • Support the organization and logistics of training sessions.
  • Collect and analyze feedback and report to senior trainers and managers.
  • Stay current with advancements in EV charging technology and industry trends.

Key responsibilities include

  • Curriculum Development - Collaborating with subject matter experts to design and develop comprehensive training materials such as manuals, presentations, videos and e-learning modules. Design and implement training programs to enhance employees and partners’ skills and knowledge.
  • Product expertise - Gain a deep understanding of how current and new products work through hands-on practice and product testing, to then integrate product knowledge into training courses to ensure accurate and practical instruction. Prepare and deliver training materials on-site, leveraging direct interaction with the product and team members for effective training delivery. 
  • Training programs implementation and delivery - Conducting engaging and effective training sessions, workshops, and seminars for employees, partners, and customers, ensuring quality and consistency. The training sessions may be to individuals or groups at our facilities, on customer or partner premises, or remotely. Training implementation and delivery also includes coordinating logistics, scheduling training sessions, and ensuring the availability of necessary resources. 
  • Knowledge base Management - Support our Learning Management System administration, learning the use of the platform and the proper use of it, aligning content creation on the platform with the defined structure. Contributing to the development and maintenance of a robust knowledge base repository accessible to all business teams. This involves ensuring that training materials are accurate, up-to-date, and readily available in our Learning Management System to support ongoing learning and development initiatives. 
  • Professional development - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of EV charging technology, industry standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure the accuracy and relevance of training materials and sessions.
  • Continuous Improvement - Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs through feedback mechanisms and performance metrics. The Training Specialist is responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing enhancements to training content and delivery methods.

Requirements

  • Languages - Full fluency in English and French is mandatory. An additional language such as Spanish or Italian is an advantage.
  • Degree in a relevant technical field

  • Desired - Related technical sales, product training, technical content creator, customer service or technical training experience.
  • Valid driving license desirable
