Trainer - Clinical Information Applications

We have a 12-month fixed term opportunity for experienced trainers to join our exciting multi-year Defence program to deliver an enterprise Health Knowledge Management (HKM) System. This capability will enable better clinical decision making for the ADF by providing market leading healthcare to ADF personnel and is a key capability and priority for the ADF.

The Clinical Information Applications Trainer has clinical analyst skills to support the development, training, and implementation of the new system.

Key Responsibilities: -

  • Training Development and Delivery
    • Develop and deliver instructor-led training (virtual and face-to-face) for clinical end users on the HKM System, with an emphasis on the Primary Care application
    • Plan, create, implement, and refine training frameworks, materials and curriculum in collaboration with the broader training team
    • Provide specialist training knowledge and apply this to provide clinically appropriate training for end users
    • Support coordination of training planning, deliverables and implementation
    • Evaluate training delivery effectiveness and provide feedback for continuous improvement
  • Clinical Analysis and Support
    • Provide clinical expertise to inform solution development that is fit for purpose for the clinical end users, leveraging knowledge in clinical applications
    • Support the design process, validation activities, and application configuration with a focus on clinical accuracy and usability
    • Assist in customer-led business process change workshops and provide insights into contemporary clinical practices and governance
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Proactively engage with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication throughout the project
    • Liaise with design teams, testing teams, and the broader training team to support seamless implementation and user adoption

About You and What You'll Bring

    • Experience in developing and delivering training plans and programs within a health environment or clinical information application context
    • Experience in clinical analysis, including the design, implementation, and rollout of clinical applications
    • Ability to work and liaise with the team remotely due to the organisational structure and the end user cohort being spread nation-wide
    • Ability to effectively manage multiple, concurrent activities, while understanding and managing priorities
    • Knowledge of Defence learning approaches is desirable
    • Relevant qualifications in a clinical discipline (Nursing preferred)

Due to the nature of work we do for our customers, all applicants are required to be Australian Citizens and hold a Baseline security clearance with the capability of upgrading to NV-1 security clearance if needed.
