Job Description:
The trainee in either role – Survey Programmer or Data Analyst – provides a growth opportunity for a college graduate via an entry level position. The goal of the training is to grow a successful candidate to become a skilled Programmer or Analyst. Below are the descriptions of individual roles.
Survey Programmer
The Survey Programmer is responsible for programming market research studies of varying complexity against client materials. Their goal is to meet and exceed clients’ expectations in terms of integrity of collected data, adherence to agreed timeline and budget. Programming is done on Forsta platforms. The role is also focused on the development and implementation of “out of the box” solutions. Programmer will become a contributor to overall department efficiency by adhering to current best practices as well as having an opportunity to provide consultation on new best practices and processes.
Data Analyst
The Data Analyst is responsible for performing data checks of the collected data. Data checks are done against the client materials. Goal to ensure data integrity, accuracy as per given logics and labels (variable and data labels). The role also includes creation of custom data files and data tables against the analysis plan using tools like SPSS/Quantum/Excel. The Analyst might also prepare charts as per client specs.
