Trade Marketing (TPM/TPO) Senior Consultant - Consumer Products

What You’ll Do

As a Trade Marketing (TPM/TPO) Senior Consultant – Consumer Products at Clarkston you will:

  • Help lead consumer goods clients to define their trade promotion objectives, challenges, and operational processes
  • Understand client objectives to provide actionable recommendations on trade process improvements, organizational structure, and technology enhancement(s)
  • Design and implement trade promotion management/optimization strategies that align with business goals
  • Help clients identify data assets - such as historical promotions and consumption data - to develop scalable predictive models in support of promotional scenario planning
  • Facilitate all aspects of TPM/TPO software solution implementations
  • Translate business processes into functional requirements, which may include recommendations on leveraging current technologies and assessing software vendors based on organizational needs
  • Share best practices, industry knowledge, and personal expertise to educate both clients and fellow consultants in formal and ad-hoc settings
  • Assist in the creation and management of project plans and timelines, define project deliverables, identify and track issues and their resolutions, and help to manage project scope and requirements
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and reports to stakeholders, showcasing insights and recommendations
  • Earn trusted client status and build relationships that extend beyond the project’s lifecycle

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in TPM, with relevant work experience in trade promotion optimization and/or revenue growth management
  • In-depth understanding of Trade processes to include management of annual budgets and targets, volume planning, customer business planning, checkbook management, settlements, accruals, and reporting/analytics
  • Proficiency in analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms
  • Proven ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable recommendations
  • Flexibility and adaptability - our Senior Consultants work on all aspects of the trade process and related process and technology initiatives
  • Direct experience with TPM or TPO systems such as Telus, Kantar, Salesforce, etc.
  • 4-year degree from an accredited college or university

Travel Statement

Travel is an integral part of this role and is estimated to average 30-50%. This may vary based upon client and project needs. When not traveling, consultants work from their home office. Relocation is not required.
