We have a full-time career opportunity for a Rail Track Engineer having more than 2 years’ experience. As a Rail Track Engineer at AFRY, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects that will make a real impact. Through the Design Center you will collaborate with a team of highly skilled professionals in Sweden, use cutting-edge technology, and play a pivotal role in delivering innovative solutions for our clients.
Your key responsibilities
- Work on projects of preliminary and detailed railway system design together with colleagues in Sweden and Noida
- Produce Rail documentation to different projects process/phases like planning, designing, construction and operating
- Coordinate with other technical areas within Rail, Catenary system, El-low voltage and Signalling as well as rail substructure
- Perform analysis and design of railway track in accordance with the Swedish system standards
- Establish and deliver CAD drawings, 3D-models, materials lists and specifications
- Work closely with peers, line manager and other discipline engineers to ensure delivery that will meet utility standards, industry standards and meet good engineering practices, policies and procedures
- Support our clients with tender documents and tendering services for railway projects
We expect that you have
- A qualified degree in engineering from a reputable college or achieved an equivalent level through previous tasks/employment
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of relevant experience of rail track design
- Working knowledge of Bentley Open Rail, Bentley Microstation or Civil 3D
- Working knowledge of 3D modelling
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English language (CEFR minimum level B1)
- Good technical writing skills
- A good knowledge of working in relevant applications of MS Office
We appreciate if you have
- Knowledge of Bentley ProjectWise Explorer
- Knowledge of railway contracts/production
- Experience of working with projects in the Nordics, especially projects associated with the Swedish Transport Administration
- Knowledge of Swedish regulations and rail track systems
