Our Client a leading packaging company in Limerick is hiring a full time Toolmaker.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- To manufacture, repair and service all tools – have the ability to dismantle, clean, repair and reassemble multi-impression tooling.
- Attending Mould breakdowns to identify the root cause and solve the problem including flashing conditions, gating, venting and cooling problems.
- Using machinery such as lathes, presses, milling machines and grinders
- Work effectively with all team members to assist in the continuous improvement
- Carry out Preventative Maintenance on tooling as per PM Schedule.
- Any other duties as assigned by the maintenance and Tool Room Manager
- Maintain Moulds as defined in the General Maintenance Procedure
- Record all maintenance activity in appropriate files and compile reports.
- Support the spare parts inventory system through assigning of all parts used and scheduled stock takes.
- Ensure the safety of the working area. • Implement tool room housekeeping practices.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Ensure compliance to the Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental and Energy Management systems
- Following engineering drawings to measure and mark out the design for the tool.
