Responsibilities   
 
Shamrock Trading Corporation and Ryan Transportation are looking for a TMS System Administrator to join the team. The primary objective of this role will be working with the Ryan Managed Services (TM) Team to develop products that drive solutions that align with the company’s vision. This role will report to the Ryan TM Support Team and will be expected to work in collaboration with the Shamrock IT team. The role will create/contribute to business case development, requirements articulation, project/program planning, testing, training and ultimately helping to deliver technology solutions that support the growth of Shamrock. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:  System Administration & Optimization 
 
  • Participate in requirements analysis and verification, ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent and conform to required standards 
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot application issues to determine root cause of problems or malfunctions in conjunction with the service desk. 
  • Work with our development and systems group to resolve more advanced issues when necessary 
  • Differentiate user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements 
  • Create and maintain documentation 
  • Manage changes to baseline requirements through effective application of change control processes and tools and manage system enhancement requests 
  • Gather and maintain customer feedback 
  • Create, edit, and maintain test scripts 
  • Research and help scope our upcoming projects or potential projects 
  • Lead clients through onboarding analysis and verification, ensuring that base functionality and integration requirements are captured. 
Qualifications
    
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required 
  • Good verbal and written communication skills 
  • Well organized, analytical, innovative and problem solving skills 
  • Willingness to engage with customers and perform research into their needs 
  • Ability to lead and work with teams, be part of a team, and understand team dynamics 
  • Diverse business knowledge and the ability to illustrate the linkage between projects and desired business results 
  • Ability to maintain a high level of detail, often under tight deadlines and competing priorities 
  • Well versed in IT technologies and best practices 
  • Mercury Gate experience preferred, but not required 
  • API, EDI, File Type Transfer, and Transportation experience is a plus
