POSITION TITLE: TKA (Training, Kaizen & Audit) Supervisor SHIFT: 1st
SECTION OR DEPARTMENT: SEWS Components Division
REPORTS TO: Hunter Crossfield – EHS – TKA Assistant Manager
LOCATION: Scottsville, KY
BASIC POSITION DUTIES: Supervise and coordinate training department for the timely administration of training / evaluations at all SVL & FR locations, support audit activities and document control activities that will ultimately assist in meeting customer expectations and Sumitomo expectations regarding performance, safety and PK.
DUTIES ANS RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise training leaders; coordinate training leader activities for training associates in injection molding, automatic assembly, metal stamping, and other as required.
- Pay For Skills - Schedule and perform all training and evaluations, track results and submit status changes for increases.
- Skill maps-maintain skill map and evaluation program.
- Training Programs-develop and maintain appropriate educational material and plans. Complete on time training. Continuous improvement of training material, methods, and comprehension resources. Powered Industrial Truck (PIT)-schedule and maintain PIT training and electronic lift management system. Maintain record retention system.
- Maintain Train-The-Trainer (TTT) program requirements.
- Coordinate and complete new hire and temporary new hire orientation / defect training.
- Coordinate temporary associate orientation and present TKA info at SEWS new hire orientation.
- Document Control: support document control activities. May include updating, creating, and maintaining clear / concise work instructions, forms, and educational material.
- Support audit activities – IATF, PK, ISO14001, others as needed.

- Participate in cross-functional team meetings as necessary Maintain a positive work environment, and morale while maintaining company rules and policy. Clear, precise and immediate communication of all safety, manufacturing, and personnel issues. Supports all SEWS Scottsville and Franklin locations as needed. Travel between sites required. Some domestic travel is required (1-10%). Other activities as directed.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma, GED or Technical Certificate required with 6-8 years of progressive plant experience including 1-2 years of supervisory capacity

Must be available to work alternate shifts as needed.

Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must have valid PIT certification or meet requirements to obtain PIT certification.
- Must be proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines
- Must be proficient with digital media including cameras and videos.
- Experience with video editing software preferred
- Must have excellent communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written.
