If so, we have a Product Development & Contracting position available for a fast-paced, result-orientated person. You will be responsible for supplier negotiations and developing product for a specific destination.
Requirements
Key Performance Areas:
- Develop and implement product strategy plans with the aim of achieving market share growth and reaching profit targets.
- Ensure all facets of the destination and products are managed.
- Maintain and build strong supplier relationships.
- Ensure contracts negotiated are relevant and in line with the product strategy, ensuring they are processed and distributed to the various divisions and stakeholders timeously.
- Successful negotiations of all aspects of the supplier contracts.
Minimum qualifications required for the position:
- Travel and Tourism Diploma
- Negotiation Skills Course (an advantage)
- Presentation Skills (an advantage)
Minimum experience required for the position:
- Minimum 3-5 years of Travel Industry experience preferably in a contracting environment
- Working experience in negotiating contracts
- Experience with reading and interpreting contracts, commercial agreements, and service level agreements. Must have a precise understanding of contracts and their terms & conditions.
- Excellent global geographical knowledge
- Experience working with margins, costings & calculating selling prices
- Knowledge of Amadeus is an advantage
- Knowledge of Travel Studio will be an advantage
- Excellent computer skills – Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Travel requirements - Tour Operation (essential) marketing, reservations
