We at IKEA Test Lab are on an exciting journey towards becoming a development lab and we are now looking for a Test Engineer to join us on this journey. When you work with us, you will play an important part to shape this new way of working together with the Range Areas, Requirement Development, Categories, IKEA Component and more stakeholders.
The main part of the job is performing physical testing on furniture and home furnishing accessories and full time at the IKEA Test lab.
Job Description
In the assignment as Test Engineer you contribute to product development by using your technical skills and ability to understand theoretical requirements (standards, legislation etc.) and turning them into practice. Planning, performing, reporting and analyzing tests on IKEA products, components and material is part of your daily job.
Together with an assigned Test Development Engineer you as Test Engineer support the development of new and updated test methods and test instructions. You will be an active partner in projects with different stakeholders from various parts of the organization. Daily, you as Test Engineer will communicate and share knowledge and experience with the product development teams and categories. Your motivation is to solve problems and create better solutions and products for our customers, with your positive and confidence in supporting where it is needed, you will be a great contributor to our team!
Qualifications
We are looking for a person that has a great interest in people’s life at home and how our customers use our products. You have a curious and open mindset and a strong will to make a difference. You have a hands-on practical work approach and ability to think outside the box. You like to work in teams and independently and connect easily to colleagues and teams in the organization. Your background can be from testing, but it could also be from direct contact with our customer or in other roles within product development.
Our language is English and therefore it is needed to be fluent both in spoken and written.
