Wachter is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Test Automation Engineer. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in transitioning our manual testing team to a fully automated testing environment. This position requires a deep understanding of automation frameworks, DevOps pipelines, and experience working with .NET and Angular applications.

  • You are required to work in the office 4 days a week, and have the option to work from home 1 day a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for functional, regression, and performance testing.
  • Integrate automated tests with our continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Work closely with the manual testing team to understand existing test cases and processes.
  • Convert manual test cases into automated scripts.
  • Train and mentor manual testers in automation techniques and best practices.
  • Collaborate with the DevOps engineer and Software Architect to ensure seamless integration of automated tests into the CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ensure automated tests are executed as part of the build and release process.
  • Participate in backlog grooming and iteration planning meetings.
  • Identify opportunities to improve testing processes and increase the efficiency of the testing team.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in test automation using frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar.
  • Strong programming skills in C# and JavaScript.
  • Experience with .NET and Angular applications.
  • Proficiency with Azure DevOps.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.
  • Previous experience transitioning a manual testing team to automation is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
