Territory Production Lead

Role Purpose

  • Ensure all team members are safe & adhere to HSE compliance.
  • Ensure delivery of hybrid rice seeds as per target assigned with desired Genetic purity, timely supply & within COGP.
  • Ensure the correct hybrid placement, based on the analysis of the previous season.
  • To meet business requirements, select new grower leaders while retaining existing ones based on service and performance.
  • Conduct meetings with growers to communicate production terms and conditions, with the assistance of grower leaders.
  • Submit a tentative list of growers 15 days before sowing and distribute basic seeds to grower leaders/growers with relevant documentation.
  • Submit sowing lists and GPS-measured area lists within the specified timeline.                                                           
  • Monitor fields and estimate yields at three stages: vegetative, 70% flowering, and 10 days before female harvest.
  • Supply raw seeds as per schedule and comply with all regulations.
  • Support pilot production and new initiatives.
  • Reconcile all inputs such as basic seed, GA3, and packing materials.
  • Ensure input advances and final grower payments with proper acknowledgment.
  • Conduct post-season analysis by hybrid, village, and grower leader.
  • Additionally, achieve social compliance by ensuring the right implementation of the Fair Labor Program in the location, supported by reports and documentation.

Experience :

  • 5 to 10 years working experience and extensive knowledge in  seed production
  • Good interpersonal, communication skills and stakeholder orientation
  • Experience to build strategic partnership with vendors, growers and internal stakeholders
  • Knowledge in seed production scheduling, planning, and tracking
  • Must possess working knowledge of computer. SAP knowledge is added advantage.

  • BSc. Agriculture or MSc. Agriculture
