Temporary Senior Recruiter (Parental Leave Coverage)

5W is currently seeking a parental leave replacement for a period of 5 months starting April 2024 for the position of Senior Recruiter. This full-time position is based in NY and will report to the Chief People Officer.

This full cycle recruiting role is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring passive and active candidates, specifically within the highly competitive public relations, communications, and digital space.

This candidate MUST have experience recruiting in a public relations agency environment with an understanding of consumer and corporate PR sectors.  

This is a unique opportunity to join our team at 5W Public Relations as we seek coverage for parental leave. We're looking for a talented individual to step into this temporary role and contribute to our dynamic and collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full lifecycle recruiting process from start to finish, from roles ranging from mid-level to executive.
  • Strong communication and strategic counsel skills will aid in becoming a trusted advisor to the business leads on how and where to identify and recruit talent for their organizations. 
  • Develop search strategies for targeted positions.
  • Promote the agency through social media, thought leadership, online ads and collateral.
  • Manage outside resources such as external search firms and solution vendors.
  • Provide meaningful feedback from various touch points in the interview process to inform hiring managers and influence the efficiency and effectiveness of the hire.
  • Develop, and assist with, the creation of position profiles regarding job content, job leveling and market pricing.
  • Manage Recruiter on day-to-day tasks and overall team goals.
  • Become a brand ambassador by influencing peers to network across all platforms to attract talent to the agency.
  • Partner with the organization to ensure we are continuously improving our diversity hiring approach and results.

Qualifications:

  • 7 - 10 years of related experience, including hands-on responsibility for leading a talent acquisition function.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proven ability to gain trust and credibility with executives and effectively manage shifting priorities.
  • Ability to set a strategy and motivate others to achieve necessary deliverables.
  • Passion for helping people and persuading teams to think creatively about their hiring needs.
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to building an inclusive work environment by attracting and hiring diverse talent.
  • Experience building recruiting initiatives across multiple locations, domestically and globally.
  • Able to digest and analyze data to make sound decisions.
  • Familiarity with ATS like Lever is a plus.
  • LinkedIn Recruiter is a must.
