Note: This is a temporary assignment working 10-25 hours per week for six months, beginning in October 2024.
Your Job:
As the Brooks Privacy Analyst, you will assist in critical privacy compliance functions including:
· Collaborating with multiple teams at Brooks to execute the timely fulfillment of data subject access requests from consumers.
· Support the implementation of new tools to streamline data subject access requests.
· Automating and structuring manual processes. Identifying gaps in current privacy processes and workflows and recommending updates.
· Coordinating with the privacy team to report metrics to leaders.
The company’s privacy program includes the policies, practices, controls, and requirements for guarding against compromise, corruption, or loss of personal data. For the privacy program, you will endeavor to execute existing procedures; implement new tools; and update documentation based on program improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Assist legal counsel, compliance teams, information security, and technology teams on the execution of our global privacy compliance programs including but not limited to:
- Coordinate cross-functionally with fraud team, US and EMEA marketing teams, data analytics team, customer service team, and third-party sub processors to timely address data subject access requests from consumers.
- Support the implementation of new privacy tools such as OneTrust Data Subject Access Request portal. Provide regular updates on the implementation project's progress, including ongoing communication with internal stakeholders throughout the process.
- Assist in simplifying the intake, identity verification, and fulfilment of multiple types of privacy rights requests.
- Identify opportunities for process and workflow improvements and assist in implementation. Revise supporting internal documentation such as standard operating procedures and FAQs.
- Maintain organized and accurate record keeping for internal reports.
- Assist in keeping action items and deliverables on time.
- Report on compliance-based metrics and meaningful trends regarding the privacy program to the compliance team on a regular basis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 3 or more years’ relevant experience working on legal compliance issues
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 products (SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams)
- English language proficiency
- Privacy compliance experience preferred
- Certifications such as CIPP/US; CIPM preferred
- Experience with OneTrust preferred
- Excellent oral, written, critical thinking, problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to track multiple deadlines and grasp complex processes quickly
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and results oriented
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Compensation: Pay is $35-$46 per hour.
