WorkWave Team is looking for a Senior TechOps Engineer to join our Technology Operations team in support of our cloud-hosted web-based software solutions. You’ll play a key role on our Technology Operations team
Responsibilities:
- Manage AWS cloud infrastructure to maintain operational stability and security, including planned hardware and VM maintenance, patching, software upgrades, etc.
- Build and enhance monitoring and operations platforms
- We use Zabbix, Grafana, CloudWatch, Kibana, and other tools
- Responsible for production incident response and disaster recovery procedures; working in tandem with application support engineers to ensure reliable service availability and uptime
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with our production platforms
- Execute production change requests related to networking, database, identity, and access management, and other infrastructure configurations
- Monitor, identify, and report infrastructure performance and scaling issues
- Continuously improve operational processes, including monitoring, alerts, and maintenance activities to improve system and application uptime
- We use Windows Server, SQL Server, RDS, Lambda, EC2, VPC, and many other platforms and services
- Manage a queue of operational, application and support requests (customer onboarding/offboarding, license management, access requests and system administration)
- Support DevOps engineers in deploying and maintaining our software systems over a variety of environments from Windows to Linux, .NET to Java, IIS to nginx
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems

Minimum 2 - 5 years of experience in AWS Cloud Infrastructure

Minimum 2 years of experience in AWS key services (EC2, EBS, S3, IoT, CloudFront, etc)
- 2 - 5 years managing a network or platform of more than 100 machines and multiple application services, ideally in a SaaS model

Experience with monitoring solutions, such as AWS CloudWatch, ElasticStack, Zabbix, NewRelic, Nagios, Ganglia, Splunk, graylog2, logstash, etc.
- Experience building and enhancing operational platforms, including the creation and organization of operational dashboards, reports, alerts, triggers
- Experience leading efforts to standardize escalation processes
- Experience working on a dynamic team to handle the daily operational requirements of our production infrastructure
- A desire to continually evaluate, learn, and adopt new technologies
- Scripting in one or more languages, such as PowerShell or Python is a plus
Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification is highly preferred
