Technology Procurement Project Manager - Technology Services & Solutions (TSS) (FTC - 12 months)

Our Technology Services & Solutions (TSS) department is currently looking to hire a Technology Procurement Project Manager on a 12-month Fixed-term Contract basis.

 

The successful candidate will be a trusted and credible procurement project manager, developing and delivering on category and deal strategies, and aligning with operational roadmaps . They should be capable of both constructively challenging operational and supplier proposals and developing partnerships through a high level of external engagement. 

Experience and aspirations in the areas of SaaS, cloud optimisation and modernisation, the use of Coupa, ERP transformation, data and digital transformation would all be beneficial.

The role will be required to work as part of specific project initiatives e.g. the development and implementation of a Sourcing Strategy for Customer Platforms' Engineering Capabilities; Identifying cost out activities or Rationalisation of Top Spend Capabilities to support a Strategic Technology Cost of Ownership programme.

 

The role requires:

  • Focus on optimising 3rd party spend, mitigating risk, developing key partnerships through our SRM programme and ongoing continuous improvement of underpinning process, policies and procurement technologies.
  • Ability to operate as a self-starter in running RFI/RFPs, interpreting, reviewing and negotiating technology related contracts across software, IT professional services, hardware & telecoms
  • Close working with finance to ensure that contracts negotiated are in line with IT budgets and savings opportunities identified and achieved
  • Deep understanding of contract commercial clauses and capacity to redefine terms which could be favourable to Informa, involving IT Business owners, legal, data protection, service management and any other relevant teams.
  • Develop and maintain central tracking and reporting mechanism for all agreements within the responsibility of IT Procurement, proactively monitoring when nearing expiration, discussing on-going requirements with IT Management.
  • Build strong relationships within all areas of the business & existing and potential supplier base to promote collaboration
  • 5+ years of Tech Procurement/Sourcing global corporate experience, including SRM, spanning enterprise IT, software/SaaS, cloud, IT security, EUC, ERP, hardware & telco in a transformational technology environment
  • Negotiation, influencing, decision making and organisational skills for deployment in all areas of supplier and internal stakeholder management across large multiple tenders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical contractual aspects to senior leaders
  • Competent in use of IT Procurement systems & processes, presentation, and analysis of data
  • Recognised professional qualification (e.g. CIPS) preferred
