Technology Manager - Apps and Data

As our Technology Manager - Apps and Data you’ll be required to bring a combination of technical knowledge and leadership capability with a strong focus on people management of a skilled team of IT professionals. In this role you’ll play a crucial role in shaping the technological landscape for NEXTDC while fostering a positive and dynamic team culture.

Included in the teams you’ll be managing are experienced professionals covering:

  • Customer app and integrations: Azure, .Net framework, C# Angular/React
  • Salesforce: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud
  • ServiceNow: Workflows, Forms, View, Integration
  • Data: Maintain Data Models, Reporting, Data Mart

To be successful in this position you will show an entrepreneurial mindset and bring value to the following areas:

Leadership and Team Management: Ensuring a collaborative and productive environment. Fostering growth and development. Performance reviews and employee engagement.

Operational Oversight: Implement robust monitoring and alerting systems. Develop comprehensive backup strategies and recovery plans. Adopt best practices for cloud operations

Project Oversight: Coordinate with project managers to align IT projects with business objectives and timelines. Overseeing design, development, and deployment processes. Manage resource allocation effectively to meet project deadlines and budget constraints.

Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to define IT strategies and initiatives that support the company's goals. Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and standardize best practices.

Budget and Resource Management: Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to procure high-quality services and products at competitive prices. Monitor IT expenditures and provide reports to senior management on financial performance.

  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team of technical professionals (application developers and system administrators) along with a solid understanding of the technical aspects that the team is working on, to guide and assist in decision-making
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools
  • Ability to align IT strategies with business objectives and adapt to changing environments
  • Aptitude for identifying problems and implementing effective solutions
