In Platform Engineering we believe in the power of autonomy and in giving end-to-end ownership to all engineers, to deliver value quickly, reliably, in a secure and compliant way.

To deliver on Platform Engineering’s mission, we build and run infrastructure and services platforms that serve millions of users of Trade Republic, by providing secure and reliable environments so teams can have access, visibility and tools to help them to deliver cloud native Software.

 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Define and lead the department’s tech vision, aligning it with the product strategy and setting the standard for technical excellence.
  • You are ready to lead by example and being hands-on.
  • Oversee technical and system solutions from design to implementation to operation.
  • Serve as an architect, guiding decisions at the department and company level, offering balanced options and tradeoffs.
  • Drive continuous improvement in engineering best practices, ensuring adherence to company-wide standards, including security.
  • Identify and resolve technical challenges, addressing risks proactively.
  • Mentor team members through code and architecture reviews, promoting growth and upskilling opportunities.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR 

  • You have at least 5 years experience as a Technical Lead or a similar leadership role within a startup or rapidly growing company preferably in Fintech
  • You have a deep understanding of the software life cycle, across all its dimensions (development, testing, operations, security, compliance…)
  • Your have strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and guide technical teams 
  • You have a track record of executioning in high-scale environments, solving complex technical challenges, and make decisions that drive innovation 
  • You are ready to lead by example and being hands-on
  • You have a strong software development background
  • You have experience working with C level leadership
