Technology Leader - Data Platform

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

The Data Platform team at Trade Republic builds a scalable, secure, and cost-efficient platform that empowers teams to innovate and make data-driven decisions. We provide self-service tools for data ingestion, pipeline development, workload orchestration, dashboard creation, and data discovery.

Our products are developed using Python and SQL, leveraging AWS, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Kafka, Spark, Flink, and observability tools built on the LGTM stack.

• Define and lead the department’s tech vision, aligning it with product strategy and setting standards for technical excellence.
• Serve as an architect, guiding decisions and delivering technical solutions from design to implementation.
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering practices, automation, and infrastructure productivity, ensuring security and adherence to standards.
• Mentor team members, addressing technical challenges and risks, while contributing to Trade Republic’s Engineering Leadership.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR 

• Over 5 years of senior engineering leadership experience, preferably in Fintech or Banking, with expertise in data infrastructure and platform engineering.
• Strong background in managing infrastructure as code, automation, and improving productivity, with familiarity in Kubernetes, Networking, and IAM.
• Proven leadership skills in guiding technical teams, solving complex challenges, and driving innovation.
• Hands-on leader with a track record of writing excellent code and working closely with C-level leadership.
