Technology Lead, React

The Front-End Technology Lead (FETL) is responsible for designing and writing code, performing code reviews, developing technical documentation and becomes a key contributor in their team and project. A Front-End Technology Lead acts as a technical leader in projects, ensuring that the team maintains high levels of performance, and builds and strengthens the relationship with the client. The FETL will work closely with clients, developers, system administrators, project managers, business analysts and end users.

You will: 

  • Lead your team and help shape the technology community in the company
  • Ensure code quality and delivery schedule is maintained by their team
  • Be the technical voice in communication with clients and build a strong relationship with them.
  • Collaborate to define performance standards and insure they are maintained
  • Oversee implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting with front-end build-tools such as Babel, Webpack, Vite, Gulp or Node.js as a subject matter expert in front-end technology
  • Review code and reinforce coding guidelines and best practices
  • Help coordinate the team’s technical communication with other groups such as Creative, Business, and Management
  • Own the technical architecture and design of the web solution and oversees the front-end development activities
  • Take business requirements and comps, map them to appropriate technical solutions and estimates the associated development tasks
  • Ensure concise and clear documentation is maintained by all peers for the projects as dictated by guidelines and best practices
  • Own software release activities [including but not limited to reviewing code changes, client demos, QA hand-offs, and presenting solutions and justifications for tasks]
  • Debug or troubleshoot complex or critical issues that cannot be handled by individual contributors, and provide root cause analysis
  • Develop and improve onboarding curriculum for new team members
  • Support hiring process in collaboration with the global talent acquisition team
  • Support the marketing science team in implementing analytics tagging

  • Hard Skills
    • Proficient experience working with front-end technologies [HTML/CSS/JavaScript]
    • Practical experience on integrating front-end solutions with APIs and web services [eg REST, GraphQL]
    • Expert knowledge of design patterns [e.g., Mobile first responsive CSS, model-view-controller, observer, object oriented, etc.]
    • Experience working with React 18 and Next,js
    • Capable of defining and implementing guidelines for unit tests, load testing and performance testing
    • Capable of implementing semantic code compliant with modern accessibility and SEO guidelines and best practices
    • Capable of working with new technologies and building proof of concept prototypes
    • Capable of troubleshooting, debugging and doing root cause analysis of web platform issues
    • Familiar with tools to manage the development cycle, including: ticketing, code reviews and deployment. [eg: Jira, Bitbucket, Github, Git Lab, Team Cities, Jenkins]
