Position Summary
The Technician – Component Rebuild performs operational duties relating to the service and repair of components for diesel engines and/or heavy off-road equipment. Responsibilities include inspecting, repairing, and maintaining, overhauling, and rebuilding components.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance activities on new and rebuilt/repaired components, including cleaning, repairing, reconditioning, overhauling, and rebuilding.
- Ensures all service reports are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Cleans mechanical parts and components.
- Maintains customer satisfaction by understanding customer needs and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Adheres to all safety rules and maintains quality housekeeping in the shop area.
- Transports components, parts, and equipment as directed around the facility.
Occasional/Other Responsibilities:
- Assists with ordering parts, writing service reports, the return of parts, core returns, and assigning time scheduling.
Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3 years or more of experience in a related field required, preferably with heavy equipment components, engines, and transmissions.
Preferred:
- Associates in related technical field (Diesel Technology).
- 5 years or more of experience in a related field, preferably with heavy equipment components, engines, and transmissions.
