Description
Reports To: Manager – Technical Publications
OVERVIEW:
Responsible for coordinating all activities for development and accuracy of new or revised engineering lab test procedures, work instructions, and other department-related documentation.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Interface with the engineering lab and product development teams to plan and develop all necessary engineering lab test procedures and work instructions. Ensure accuracy and completeness of such publications.

Understand the development of safety messaging per ANSI Z535 Standards.

Work within the Victaulic Global Data Portal (GDP) System to track and acquire approvals for engineering lab test procedures and work instructions.

Utilize the Change Control Document (CCD) System to communicate revisions to engineering lab test procedures and work instructions.

Plan and conduct photo shoots for inclusion of high-quality images in engineering lab test procedures and work instructions.

Assist in creation and maintenance of other engineering lab department manuals and procedures, as necessary.

Track priorities and project hours through project management software, such as LiquidPlanner.

Exemplify Victaulic leadership values and actively promote them across the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:

College degree in English (concentration in professional or technical writing), Communications, or another related field required.

Technical writing experience of 2-4 years preferred, with exposure to writing documentation for manufacturing or laboratory environments.

Proficient in Microsoft products. Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat skills a plus.

Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written, as well as excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate and interact with employees at all levels in the organization and across all regions.

Excellent project management skills with the ability to balance multiple short- and long-term projects to meet critical deadlines.

Willingness to work in an environment that requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), such as safety shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
