- We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Writer to join our team.
- As an Technical Writer, you will play a crucial role in documenting and communicating our organization's Master Information Plan strategy and procedures.
- You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information, write technical content, and create comprehensive documentation to support our information management initiatives.
- Responsibilities:
- Documentation: Create, update, and maintain detailed documentation, including policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards related to information management.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with subject matter experts, business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand information management requirements and gather relevant information for the documentation.
- Write Technical Content: Produce clear, concise, and technically accurate content that conveys complex information management concepts to a varied audience. This may include user guides, reference materials, and internal documentation.
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure that the documentation adheres to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal best practices. Review and Edit: Review existing documentation for accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
- Edit and revise content as necessary to maintain a high standard of quality.
- Version Control: Implement version control and change management processes for documentation to track updates and maintain accurate records.
- User Training and Support: Develop training materials and conduct training sessions to educate users on policies and procedures.
- Document Management: Manage the organization's document repositories to ensure easy access and retrieval of documentation. Stay Updated: Keep abreast of industry trends, information management best practices, and emerging technologies to continually improve documentation.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Information Science, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably with expertise in documentation.
- Strong understanding of information management concepts, data governance, and documentation best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Proficiency in technical writing tools and software.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with information security, data privacy, and regulatory compliance is a plus.
- Previous experience in document version control and content management systems is an advantage.
