GA-CCRi maintains and deploys production systems for users across the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, and commercial industry.  We build and develop best-in-class all domain and globally focused situational awareness capabilities that process petabytes of data from numerous streaming data sources in near real time.  Our systems apply state-of-the-art algorithms and machine learning techniques to extract features and fuse data from multiple phenomenologies to form a rich live view of objects in the sky, on the sea, and on the ground.  These analytics are designed to determine not just where something is, but what it is, where it's been and what it's doing. All of this "data to knowledge" is made available to end users in our own browser-based application for visualization, analysis, and understanding. GA-CCRi is seeking Technical Writers to join our core product team, illustrating the future of situational awareness capabilities for our customers. Our teams leverage cutting-edge technology to process petabytes of data and extract features in near real time, all while providing a rich, live view of objects on land, sea, and sky. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in technical writing and documentation while communicating and engaging with customers. Close collaboration with subject matter experts, developers, and leadership are key attributes in supporting our innovative products. Location: Lehi, UT or Charlottesville, VA

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Author clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation for software applications:
    • Technical architecture
    • Release notes
    • Technical requirements
    • Compliance measures
    • Security and vulnerably reporting
    • Systems diagram visuals
  • Work closely with customers, engineers, and subject matter experts to gather information, understand technical concepts, and ensure the accuracy and completeness of documentation.
  • Serve as liaison between internal team and customer, aligning requirements with system architecture and product roadmap.
  • Continuously review and update product documentation to remain relevant, accurate, and aligned with the latest software features and industry standards.
  • Communicate effectively with domain experts, users, and management throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Communicate and deliver product documentation and reporting metrics to customer.
  • Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.  
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Observe all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.

Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility, and willing to take a CI polygraph.
  • Typically requires a Bachelors or Masters degree in a technical field or related discipline. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.  
  • Ability to extract detailed technical information from subject matter experts and synthesize it into clear, user-friendly documentation.
  • Ability to use various methods and tools to visually represent the architecture and interactions within a system.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. 

Desired Skills and Experience   

  • Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance with CI Poly
  • Understanding of formal software engineering principles including design, documentation, ticketing systems, and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience working in code repositories and basic version control practices (Git, Gitlab).
  • Experience interacting with Integrated Development Environments (IDEs).
  • Interested in maintaining and adapting complex systems.
  • Familiar with Intelligence Community and DoD mission sets.

Salary Range

$76,000-$105,000
