We are looking for a Technical Writer to join us as we build cutting-edge technology solutions!  This is your opportunity to be part of a team that is committed to delivering best in class service to our customers.

In this role, you will play a key role in creating clear and concise technical instructional guides based on information provided by Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). Your work will focus on translating complex technical information into user-friendly documentation that will be widely used by internal teams. This role involves collaborating with developers and SMEs to ensure technical accuracy and clarity, enabling others to execute tasks efficiently based on the guides you create.

Responsibilities:

  • Write and organize technical guides, manuals, and instructional documentation, ensuring clarity, conciseness, and adherence to technical standards.
  • Collaborate with SMEs and developers to gather information and create guides based on both current and backlogged projects.
  • Review and revise documentation, ensuring the content can be easily followed by professionals with 3-5 years of experience.
  • Maintain records and manage updates for all documentation, including revisions and new versions.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure the guides meet quality standards and deadlines.
  • Engage in continuous improvement of documentation processes to enhance overall efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in technical writing, particularly in cloud services or other technical industries.
  • Strong background in technical communication and experience creating instructional manuals for a technical audience.
  • Ability to read and understand programming code to communicate technical details effectively.
  • Proven skills in writing, editing, and problem-solving, with attention to detail and clarity in documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with SMEs and developers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working on documentation for cloud technologies or similar complex technical environments.
  • Familiarity with various technical writing tools and software.
  • A proven track record of producing user-friendly, instructional content that allows mid-level developers to follow guides independently.

Salary Range

Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including, without limitation, skill sets, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographical market. The pay range for this position reflects geographic based ranges for Washington state: $85,000 to $95,000 USD/annually. The salary/wage and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
