We are seeking a talented Technical Writer to assist with various documentation tasks to help to rebuild and maintain a complete and exhaustive knowledge base.
Key Responsibilities
As a Technical Writer at AB Tasty, you are responsible for the “documentation” product line, which means that you are fully accountable for the quality, relevance, completeness and main objective of documentation: to make our users fully informed and autonomous. You also manage the entire documentation process and ensure that it is respected by all employees.
You will work closely with a freelancer to create new content.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Run projects
- Documentation Updates: Review and update existing documentation to ensure accuracy, relevance, and alignment with the latest product features. Collaborate with subject-matter experts to gather updated information. It includes API and technical documentation located on our Developer Portals.
- Creation of New Articles: Work with Product Managers, Product Designers and Tech teams to create new articles, how-to guides, reference articles and tutorials to address customer needs and enhance the knowledge base. Write clear and concise English documentation that is easy to understand for users.
- Assets maintenance : Collaborate with the Product Design team to maintain the quality and accuracy of all existing screenshots, images, videos, gifs, and branding elements in our documentation to align with the current version of the application UI and the company's branding. Ensure consistency in the visual elements and messaging throughout the documentation.
Build projects
- Assets creation: Suggest and deploy new ways to guide users, internally and externally, using potentially generative AI support
- Documentation migration: Benchmark other solutions to host our documentation and merge multiple existing documentation sources into one cohesive and user-friendly resource. Take care of the global cost, the migration procedure, the maintenance aspects, the SEO, the new global publication methodology with key partners and the integrability with our application.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks on documentation to ensure it meets industry standards and best practices. Address user feedback and incorporate improvements into documentation.
Requirements:
- First experience as a Technical Writer or similar role, with documentation building or migration projects you have supported.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
- Proficiency in using documentation dev tools, especially software programs (e.g., Markdown, Readme, Docusaurus or similar).Familiarity with software products, SaaS, and technical topics.
- Ability to work with all product managers to orchestrate deliverables according to the different ETAs, while being able to organize and prioritize work independently
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality documentation.
