Responsibilities
Shamrock Trading Corporation is looking for a Technical Support Intern to join the IT team. This role allows interns to gain experience by receiving formal industry training alongside an established mentor and providing hands-on diagnostic support to employees. The Technical Support Intern will focus on working with the IT team to set up a diverse range of employee software and technology and resolving Service Desk requests. An ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong analytical and communication skills.

Provide first-level support analysis and diagnostics to resolve service desk requests

Assist in technology troubleshooting and setup for employee PC hardware, email, phones, printers and copiers, software installations and more

Create new employee accounts and deploy them to end users

Work directly with IT staff and end users to diagnose and resolve issues with proprietary applications, third-party software and employee equipment

Troubleshoot both hardware and software issues

PowerShell scripting to automate various processes

Other duties as assigned which might include lending IT support in areas such as cybersecurity, system administration, analytics, and asset management.
Qualifications

Graduation date of December 2025 or May 2026

Internship runs 6/2/25 through 8/8/25

GPA of 3.0 and above

Pursing a degree in Information Technology, MIS or Business Administration

Ability to manage and prioritize work effectively to ensure internal timelines are met

Basic desktop troubleshooting knowledge

Analytical with strong project management and problem-solving skills

Team player with a positive attitude and ability to collaborate effectively with others

Ability to lift and relocate end-user computing devices up to 40 lbs.

Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment

Preferred but not required qualifications include:

Experience with Microsoft Office suite

Working knowledge of Windows 10
