Description
We are seeking a Technical Support Engineer with DBA experience to provide enterprise- level assistance to our global customers. You will be responsible for troubleshooting issues, optimizing database performance, and ensuring seamless functionality of the Striim platform.
Responsibilities
You will use a support ticket tracking system and JIRA for daily activities. For complexissues, you will engage with customers via Zoom or provide clear, written instructions and technical documentation.
Experience: 6 to 15 years in customer support within the technology industry
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or Software Engineering.
Technical Skills:
Database Expertise: Extensive DBA-level experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar RDBMS.
Replication Knowledge: Proficiency in PostgreSQL streaming/logical replication, Oracle DataGuard, and GoldenGate.
OS & Networking: Strong UNIX/Linux expertise with a solid understanding of networking, storage, security, and tiered application environments.
ETL & Data Warehousing: Familiarity with ETL processes and data management.
Preferred Skills
Programming experience with Java and Python and exposure with cloud Platforms such as Azure and GCP.
Messaging Systems: Hands-on experience with Kafka and JMS.
DBaaS Experience: Previous experience developing Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS).
Microsoft, Cisco, or Linux certifications are advantageous.
