Role Purpose
To oversee the approval and production of product labels, ensuring they meet legislative requirements and align with client Code of Practice standards. Additionally, manage the Hygiene function, including the completion of Hygiene/GMP audits. Conduct process audits to verify adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Manage team schedules and ensure adequate resources are allocated to support business operations effectively.
What You'll Do
- Ensure Compliance: Verify that all food and non-food labels adhere to relevant legislative requirements, including Food Information Regulations and Cosmetic Product Regulations.
- Audit and Inspect: Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain high hygiene standards and compliance with SOPs.
- Team Management: Lead and inspire the labelling and hygiene teams, manage team rotas, and ensure optimal resource allocation.
- Safety First: Uphold Health and Safety procedures and actively report any near misses to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate: Work closely with the Commercial team to gather accurate product information and address partner-specific packing and labelling needs.
- Monitor KPIs: Track and report on key performance indicators to ensure top-notch performance in labelling accuracy, stock management, and team development.
Requirements
What we're looking for:
- Experience: At least 3 years in a similar role within Food or FMCG, with a strong understanding of UK and European labelling requirements.
- Knowledge: Expertise in food safety (Level 3) and familiarity with IT systems, including Microsoft Office and Enterprise Resource Planning Software.
- Skills: Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Hours: 40 hours per week Sunday-Thursday 8am-4:30pm
