Elastic is seeking a technical SEO specialist to join our Global Content and SEO Team. This specialist will help implement our annual SEO program, with a focus and passion for growing Elastic’s non-brand and brand search visibility, growing our website traffic and conversions, and driving continuous SEO technical improvements across Elastic.co.

You are a subject matter authority in search engine optimization and an excellent communicator, taking pride in your ability to educate marketing and non-marketing peers on the value of SEO, adopting and evangelizing SEO best practices. You understand the complexities of technical SEO and are able to use SEO reporting tools to formulate data-driven insights and advise cross-functional teams on how to continuously improve organic content.

Do you value teamwork and take an inclusive approach to collaboration? You might be the next Elastician!

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits using our SEO tool, Botify, to identify site issues affecting crawlability and indexability
  • Review the weekly output from Botify and resolve technical issues impacting elastic.co such as crawl errors, improper canonicalization, page indexation issues, slow page speed, etc.
  • Provide recommendations and optimizations that scale SEO operations for website platform migrations and architecture changes, including URL structure, schema markup, internal linking, robots.txt, global navigation, and translated content
  • Document and collaborate with our web team and third-party vendors to ensure SEO standard methodologies are implemented on newly developed code and interactive assets
  • Partner with the web team to monitor and manage XML sitemaps to verify sitemap structure, ongoing submissions and auditing of Google Search Console (GSC), and overall site crawling efficiency for search engines
  • Build a website health tracking board and reporting dashboards with Elastic marketing analytics and web PMO for elastic.co subfolders and subdomains to monitor and manage technical SEO metrics (i.e., indexability, page load speeds, mobile usability, schema markup errors, crawl errors, broken links, orphaned pages, duplicative content)
  • Host monthly technical SEO improvement syncs with web development team and various elastic.co content publishers to review, lead, and implement site issues / improvements

What we're looking for:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as a technical SEO specialist (or similar role) in high-tech, B2B software sales, agency, and/or PLG business model
  • Understanding of web hosting, server configuration, and website architecture
  • In-depth knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, search algorithms, and ranking methods
  • Experience with headless CMS platforms like Contentstack and Sanity
  • Experience with SEO tools like SEMrush, Botify, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console (GSC), and Google Analytics (GA4)
  • Strong analytical skills and experience building and integrating SEO reporting/dashboards in Looker, Google Analytics (GA4), and Botify (or similar tool)
  • Project management experience implementing technical SEO improvements (bonus points for experience with project management tools like Monday.com, Github, and Adobe Workfront!)
