Avery Dennison is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to join the Label and Graphic Materials Group Sales organization.
The successful candidate will execute the Label and Packaging Materials sales strategy by proactively engaging assigned customers by phone and video to deliver sales and growth objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proactively make outbound calls to current and prospective customers to develop sales opportunities
- Continually understand your territory analytics for sales, profit and opportunities; incorporate insights into territory and account level strategies, priorities and actions.
- Formally create territory and account strategies to deliver on annual growth, price and mix objectives. Devise a strategy to connect proactively with all customers within your assigned territory to understand the nature of the customers, their expectations and how to deliver the value of Avery Dennison based on those needs.
- Follow the systematic approach to call planning with a hunter mentality in call execution and call follow-up.
- Utilize Salesforce.com and other digital tools to meet key performance indicators that support the growth targets of your territory.
- Provide product recommendations, samples, technical support, pricing and service information on demand.
- Proactively identify new target accounts using screening techniques, referrals, and prospecting to potential customers within territory.
- Conduct application assessment through technical support and provide basic troubleshooting assistance.
Work location
TRAVEL
• <10% Customer travel (1-2x per year)
• Quarterly travel to Mentor, OH Headquarters
Education
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience
- 1-3 years of sales or related experience. Pressure-sensitive industry experience preferred.
- Knowledgeable in CRM platforms and data analytics such as Oracle, business intelligence.
Skills & abilities:
- Proficient in assessing customer needs to increase sales.
- Skilled in conducting territory analysis and planning.
- Skilled in communicating effectively with all levels of management on sophisticated business issues.
- Excellent oral, written and presentation skills. Effective meeting management.
- Strong financial skills and business acumen.
- Strong ability to lead and work as part of a team
- Ability to develop and cultivate positive relationships over the phone.
- Basic negotiation, financial, mathematical, and business acumen skills needed.
- Proficiency with applicable computer systems, Salesforce.com and Google Suite
