As a Technical Project Manager your main responsibility will be:
- Provide project management support to Visa clients (financial institutions and processors) operating in the EU region, ensuring expectations are met or exceeded. Manage a wide variety of project initiatives, primarily around IT infrastructure, using project management best practices and skills.
- Cooperate directly with clients to understand their setup requirements, facilitate new requirements around installations, conversions and maintenance requests without operational impact.
- Provide consultation sessions to clients and internal implementation teams and act as the subject matter expert for the connectivity products supported.
- Coordinate efforts with other internal and external project resources to ensure deliverables and commitments are met.
- Work closely with Visa’s technology and product teams to understand new business initiatives, as well as impact on current and new client projects.
- Responsible for own workflow assignments and must be able to take initiative to resolve problems and meet deadlines.
- Proactively identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement resulting in improved efficiency and effectiveness, and increased customer satisfaction.
- Build and enhance positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare and maintain detailed project artifacts, including project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, issues logs in support of client projects and/or initiatives. Apply Visa processes and approaches to be in line with client requirements.
- Manage internal and external project communications (meeting minutes, dashboards, etc.), providing regular and consistent updates to appropriate parties.
- Report on client project accomplishments and deliverables to management and different stakeholders.
- This position may require off scheduled work including late evenings / weekends in support of client and company configuration changes and associated post-production validation.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
- Work experience as Project Manager/Service Manager/Implementation Manager with IT related projects, preferably infrastructure or cloud computing
- Project management skills
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to translate technical details to a broad audience highlighting business impacts
- Able to read and understand technical documentation.
- Ability to comprehend and translate complex technical issues and processes into business language and solutions
- Demonstrated success in customer relationship management
- Excellent time management, organization, and planning skills are essential
- Able to set priorities, influence others, and manage customer expectations
- Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to achieve results as part of an effective team, and ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task under deadlines
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills are required
- Experience using standard MS Office tools (e.g. MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, etc.).
- Proficiency in English: You must be fluent in English language, both written and spoken. This includes the ability to effectively present information, respond to questions, and write reports and business correspondence in English
Desirable
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunication or equivalent preferred
- Knowledge and understanding concepts of networking with client-server architecture, cloud computing will be a plus
- Knowledge of Visa network including client connectivity to Visa network would be an added advantage
