Technical Project Manager

As a Technical Project Manager, you will be instrumental in enhancing our digital presence and improving the user experience of our platform. You will bridge the gap between business requirements and technological solutions by analyzing data, crafting detailed technical specifications, and ensuring that the developed digital solutions meet the strategic goals of our product team.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Work closely with the product, strategy, and engineering teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including risk analyses, timelines, and cost estimates.
  • Implement a comprehensive management plan for each project and hold regular stakeholder meetings to keep all interested parties updated on project progress.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders and the software development team to ensure mutual understanding and implementation of requirements.
  • Build user requirements and acceptance criteria for software product development best practices.
  • Ensure project deliverables are determined by data-driven decisions and prioritized based on business needs and departmental priorities.
  • Manage project change requests and scope creep, and ensure appropriate approvals are obtained.
  • Work with the development team to articulate the potential solutions and facilitate the selection of the best options.
  • Document and evaluate the effectiveness of tech products and suggest strategies to optimize user experience and operational efficiency.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years experience as a Technical Project Manager or similar role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile/Scrum) and software (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in data analysis and user interface design.
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software, content management systems (CMS), and data visualization tools.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A strong problem-solving orientation with an emphasis on customer satisfaction and quality delivery.
  • Understanding of online journal publishing processes is preferred.
  • Project Management certification preferred.
