The Technical Project Manager is responsible for the provision of technical project planning and management of all the projects and/or initiatives assigned to him/her from inception to execution, by making sure that the projects are in line with company plans, priorities and expectations.
Is also responsible for maintaining budgets, enforcing deadlines, supervising team members, manage all levels or forms of service delivery which includes the design, analysis, training, testing, and setting-up of solutions.
He/she will also be responsible for all kinds of project management functions, scheduling, risk management, resource management, setting standards, sequential status reports, and both internal and external communication linkages in the company ensuring customer satisfaction.
Requirements Knowledge & Experience
- +4 years of applicable experience in Project Management in the software development area.
- Experience with Agile methodology (Scrum).
- Experience in DevOps.
- Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies and methods.
- Experience mentoring, coaching and developing rising talent in the technology department.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others.
- Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising department teams.
- Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality.
- Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles.
- Excellent and effective communication and leadership skills.
- Good interpersonal skills so as to be able to relate with people or personnel from different units of the company.
- Demonstrated ability in people management, strategic planning, risk management, change management, project management.
- Experience in business process mapping or operational redesign / improvement.
- Full understanding of software development lifecycle best practices.
- Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management.
- Availability to travel 20%
- English: Advanced 80% - 90%
Desirable experience in some or all of the following:
- Professional Project Management Certification from accredited intuition preferred
- Experience with JIRA.
