About You:
As a technical project manager joining our dynamic and growing team, you'll spearhead the integration of our groundbreaking autonomous pilot system into military aircraft. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers, researchers, and aviation experts to deliver cutting-edge solutions that redefine the future of flight. Responsibilities:

  • Serve as project management lead for product design, integration, and test related efforts for DoD customers
  • Collaborate with Merlin Labs' engineering, flight operations, and certification teams to execute project milestones across the entire project lifecycle.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork and communication, ensuring that everyone is on the same page and working towards shared goals.
  • Support the detailed planning and execution of projects, including:
  • Developing project scope and managing changes through the life of the project
  • Establish resourcing needs 
  • Identifying, tracking and managing project risks
  • Generating and maintaining project schedules
  • Manage deliverables, including routine status updates and final delivery to the customer
  • Team player who can work cross-functionally with finance, operations, PMs, and BD teams 
  • Assist with proposal generation by providing budgetary estimates for new project scope
  • Lead formal testing efforts by generating test plans, identifying resources needed
  • Coordinate test execution with subcontractors and customers
  • Travel to support customer meetings and testing approximately 25% of the time

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or related field
  • 5 years of experience, specifically in technical project management and/or systems engineering
  • Expertise with software development tools, specifically Jira
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance

Nice to Have:

  • Current U.S. Security Clearance
  • Experience with aviation integration projects
  • Experience leading software development projects
  • Experience with US DoD airworthiness process
  • Experience leading DoD aircraft testing
