We’re currently looking for a Technical Project Manager that will take a key role on our location-neutral team. This Technical Project Manager is in charge of owning various aspects of CardFlight initiatives, from collaborating with both external and internal stakeholders to driving the development of SwipeSimple through requirements gathering and process execution. This individual will report to the Sr. Director of Product and work closely with leaders across CardFlight and external partners to ensure consistent communication across CardFlight teams. This can include coordinating efforts between technical teams and individuals from other departments that may provide input. In this role, we also value individuals with an eagerness to solve challenges and drive project delivery through action.

The position is location-neutral remote, with opportunities to get together as a company and team throughout the year.

 What You’ll Do

Technical Management

  • Owns relationships with external parties (partners, other CardFlight departments, payment processors) for facilitating work through the product team. This includes managing large scale projects like payment processor certifications, and smaller one-off requests like card brand compliance bulletins.
  • Help plan initiatives, convert external requests to actionable items for engineering, product, and partnership teams.
  • Lead technical conversations with the CardFlight Product team to help scope future product development, certifications and other product features.
  • Coordinate with engineering team leads and managers to better define future work.

Project Responsibilities

  • Develop effective schedules and suggest action items in order to successfully complete projects.
  • Coordinate and facilitate project management on larger initiatives, ensuring milestones are well-defined and roadblocks are understood and being addressed.
  • Escalate issues as needed with leadership and partners, facilitating conversations with appropriate stakeholders as needed.
  • Assist the product team with product reviews on stories. 
  • Lead documentation efforts across multiple CardFlight organizations to increase knowledge of CardFlight products and payments industry.

What You’ll Bring To The Table

  • 3+ years driving technical projects/programs from inception to completion
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience building relationships with cross-functional teams
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills
  • Familiar with agile methodologies and has technical acumen to understand Engineering concepts and procedures

Our signature product, SwipeSimple, is used by 125,000+ small businesses across the country. SwipeSimple is a software solution that enables small businesses to accept payments seamlessly via phone, tablet or computer. SwipeSimple is sold through a partner network comprising financial institutions, merchant service providers, and independent sales organizations. The solution is also sold directly by CardFlight through SwipeSimple Connect.

The standard annual base pay range for this role is $90,000-$125,000. In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is also eligible for cash bonus and equity awards based on factors such as experience and performance.
