Store Resilience and Services is the Core Engineering Function supporting Tesco’s Stores and its Stability. We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Programme Manager to join our Store Resilience and Services team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the stability and performance of our store systems. You will be responsible for configuration management, store engineering support, quality engineering, and fostering a culture of quality from the left shift of quality to deployment competency.
Within Technology, we cover a breadth of different areas in various regions including UK, ROI and CE. Stability and Resilience of the systems in stores and their availability is critical for Tesco’s business. Our team is responsible for the complete cycle of Quality, Resilience, Delivery and Support. We make sure the quality of the software delivered to the stores is signed off by Quality Assurance and Quality Engineering, then deployed by the Deployment competency team with a proper CI/CD effective automation process. Once deployed, our support engineering teams make sure everything is smooth and there are no issues in the store. We are also the first point of engineering contact for any critical issues reported from stores. We bring stability to the store by building Resilience by collaborating with different engineering teams and also make sure all configuration management is streamlined. We inculcate the culture of shift left of quality towards the engineering teams by providing different frameworks to be adopted by engineering API teams.
As a TPM for the Store Resilience and Services Technology team; you will play a pivotal role working with the Product Team; Engineering teams; External dependent teams and other Programme family members to define and deliver the key initiatives that are committed in our Product Roadmap.
You would be responsible for managing a part of the Tech programme. This could include:
- Managing a part of the Store Resilience and Services group
- Stakeholder communication of progress
- Dependency management with all teams who currently support the Store Resilience and Services.
- Supporting & and managing our technology vendor partners
- Business case and funding approval for the Store Resilience and Services.
