The Role

We’re looking for a Technical Program Manager - Logistics who will join our Supply Chain Operations function and be responsible for meeting or exceeding customer expectations for delivery at the lowest possible shipping cost.

Reporting to the Director - Supply Chain, this role will own the relationships with US and CA shipping carriers to optimize for speed, cost, quality, capacity and experience. This is an exciting opportunity to work with technical partners to optimize the logistics onsite experience pre/post checkout to best in industry, and be the operational owner for the 3rd party logistics software tools.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • US & CA Logistics
    • Source, negotiate, and engage with US/CA shipping carriers, both prospective and existing
    • Responsible for third party printers to implement new carriers, troubleshoot shipping problems, and drive efficiencies
    • Develop and implement new processes for transportation efficiencies
  • Coordinate with internal teams and third parties to identify and fix drivers of late shipments (missed delivery promise) while reducting total time to customer overall. 
  • Be the administrator and subject matter expert for internal Redbubble US/CA shipping needs. Setting up accounts, creating documentation, and training employees that requires shipping privileges (IT, Samples, RTS)
  • Responsible for the discovery and supporting development of the on site logistics experience pre and post checkout.
    • Communicating promise delivery date to customers
    • Shipping options for customers
    • Setting expectations for delivery with the goal of increasing conversion and reducing time from order to delivery
    • Improving the overall post order delivery tracking experience for customers.
  • Business owner of 3rd party logistics SaaS tools (Branded Tracking, Address Validation, Rate Shop, etc.)
  • Inbound freight

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • 2+ years' experience in technical supply chain roles, preferably for dropship e-commerce, retail or marketplace businesses
  • Ability to build long-term logistics strategies and execute a plan to achieve
  • Data-driven and highly analytical, able to use data and metrics to optimize costs and operations
  • Deep market knowledge of North American parcel/postal providers
  • Able to build long-term relationships with external partners, including performance management and negotiation
  • Comfortable adapting and working in an ambiguous environment, able to pivot to new priorities based on dynamic business needs
  • Experience simplifying manual processes through automation and process improvement

We offer competitive compensation because we want to hire the best people and reward them for their contributions to our mission. We pay all employees relative to the San Francisco City market, regardless of their location. In pursuit of pay equity and fairness, the starting annual base salary for this position is anticipated to be $90k - $100k. The final offer may be determined by a number of non discriminatory factors, including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. All employees may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as stock-based compensation, which are awarded to employees annually, subject to board discretion.
