Technical Program Manager

As a Technical Program Manager you will define and manage technical programs and success metrics. You will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of fundamental challenges, shape technical requirements according to needs and collaborate with partners to develop comprehensive solutions. You will use your technical expertise to comprehend product architecture, identify potential risks, collaborate on mitigations needed to ensure high quality for our products and future releases. You will create plans, communicate status, manage risk in execution and ensure successful completion of projects. 

To be successful, this individual must collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders across product management, software engineering, data science, infrastructure, security, business, innovation and pre-sales functions within Exiger and be able to manage multiple projects working in a fast-past environment.

 

What You'll Do

  • Analyze, plan, and develop technical requirements to manage and support a portfolio of assigned projects.
  • Participate in developing proposals and estimates for technical proposals and high-level solutions.
  • Be the ‘voice of the customer’ in translating complex technical requirements to help the team understand the priorities, build a roadmap, and strategic vision of each assigned project. Ensure a clear definition of ‘done’.
  • Work with Technical leadership to ensure work is progressing towards established milestones.
  • Lead regular meetings with customers and provide status reports on progress and address questions and challenges as they arise.
  • Continually monitor and adapt as work progresses; ensure that projects are completed to specification, within the established time frame and budget.
  • Serve as subject matter expert and leverage industry expertise to improve all aspects of project planning and resource management.
  • Manage product backlog items in JIRA and work with the team on prioritizing tasks, features, development, testing, and deployment. Work hand-in-hand with Product Management to plan and coordinate releases.
  • Create presentations, project briefings and status reports.

 

What You Need

  • 5+ years of proven Technical Program or Project Management or Scrum Master experience
  • 5+ years’ experience working with and an understanding of the DoD and/or Defense Industrial Base
  • Parts Management experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Management Information Systems preferred; or equivalent work experience
  • Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship building skills conducive to collaboration; able to work well in a cross-functional, matrix management environment consisting of technology, product management and business functions
  • A knack for identifying gaps in solutions, debating technical approaches, and weighing in on product vs technology tradeoffs
  • A data-driven mindset in your decision-making and a fearless ability rolling up your sleeves to dive into data
  • Attention to detail
  • Demonstrated experience in managing successful large, cross functional projects
  • Demonstrated experience with process & change management
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites
  • U.S Citizenship Required with eligibility for a CAC/Position of Public Trust at a minimum.
