Come join our Data platform and Analytics team. This team owns, builds, and operates Guidewire’s cloud-native data platform and analytics SaaS offerings. Guidewire’s data platform is targeted to be best-in-class in enabling our customers with mission-critical insights and decision-making capabilities. The platform is designed to support all of our analytics, data science, and data applications. You will work in a highly collaborative environment building next-generation platforms and services.
What you would do
- You will be responsible to drive and coordinate major platform and cloud service initiatives with the highest degree of complexity. You will spend a significant proportion of your time developing the capabilities of the team as a whole. Responsibilities include collection of business and systems requirements from internal and external customers, writing specifications, driving project schedules from design to release, and managing the production launch.
- Lead the functional and technical delivery of key initiatives within the team, organization, and across other functional areas.
- Work closely with development, product management, other engineering teams and operations to design, scope, and oversee features.
- Develop functional specifications, project/release plans, and roadmaps.
- Lead complex and large-scale cross-team, cross-functional strategic initiatives partnering with engineering managers and engineers to estimate work efforts, define priorities, and run resources
- Pro-actively tracks issues, risks, and project dependencies to ensure they are elevated to the team for timely mitigation and resolution
- Influence peers and managers, building consensus amidst ambiguity.
- Manage expectations, track deliverables, and present reports to leadership.
- Guide and manage the use of agile methodologies to streamline project delivery.
- Manage product security vulnerability program
What you would need to succeed
- 5-8 years of required work experience with 3+ years as Technical Program Manager
- Demonstrable experience with agile software development methodologies and productivity tools
- Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders, gather requirements, and provide updates.
- Strong Skills in creating project plans, timelines, and milestones.
- Interpersonal skills to build relationships, and collaborate with diverse cross-functional teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Technical knowledge of micro services, distributed systems, AWS, Java, C++(Good to have)
- Experience using business applications and integrations such as JIRA, Confluence, Slack, Zoom, Aha, Excel, PPT and scheduling meetings with attendees spanning many time zones.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering or a related field
