Revolutionise AI Products as a Technical Product Manager
Are you a strategic and technical product leader passionate about building cutting-edge AI solutions that transform industries? Join our team of innovators at Nearmap and drive the future of artificial intelligence.
As a Technical Product Manager, you'll spearhead the development of our revolutionary AI platforms and products. From ideation to launch, you'll collaborate with brilliant minds in machine learning, data science, engineering, and design to deliver intelligent technologies that solve complex challenges.
The scope of your role will include (but not limited to):
Roadmap Delivery Ownership
- Manage and prioritise the product backlog in your area of responsibility, balancing the (often competing) needs and requests of multiple parties: customers, Solution Product Managers, Sales, Engineering, senior management.
- Be the custodian of your platform or project area on behalf of your customers and Nearmap – ensure that solutions are consistent, practical, high-quality and forward-thinking.
Analysis
- Take market-driven product requirements from Solution Managers and others, and add sufficient clarification and detail so that development teams can estimate, plan, design and implement with confidence.
- Work with designers and developers to synthesise diverse and competing vertical requirements into practical solutions that meet both the specific needs of the verticals, and the general needs of a broad customer base.
- Understand your customer in a data-driven manner – analyse available customer data, identify gaps in the data and recommend ways of plugging the gaps.
- Contribute to customer discovery (e.g. interviews) where needed.
- Predict and plan for future customer and infrastructure needs.
Delivery
- Be the Product Owner of your agile development team. Write crystal-clear user stories. Encourage and support iterative and collaborative development, favouring people over process.
- Identify and manage dependencies and risks.
- Help manage and coordinate releases.
- Facilitate reporting of progress against estimated dates, to Product leadership and senior management.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve the way we work, and help make the changes happen.
