The Role
As a Technical Product Manager at Zenjob, you will be a key player in driving the development of our platform capabilities. This role requires a mix of strategic thinking, technical understanding, and hands-on execution. Working at the intersection of Platform Teams and Stream-Aligned Teams, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our core infrastructure, staffing system, and supporting tools are built for scalability, efficiency, and high performance.
This role is designed for a TPM with a strong engineering background or someone who is extremely comfortable engaging in deep technical discussions with engineers. You’ll act as the strategic link between platform and product, ensuring alignment with Zenjob's overall strategy while driving technical clarity and excellence. In this role, you’ll champion Team Topology principles, supporting cross-functional collaboration and enabling stream-aligned teams to work autonomously with minimal friction.
What you’ll be doing
- Develop a deep understanding of the needs of stream-aligned teams and the broader business objectives. You’ll bridge technical requirements with business outcomes, ensuring that platform initiatives enable teams to work more efficiently and deliver impactful results.
- Use your gained knowledge to define team priorities, success metrics, and product goals, ensuring they are aligned with Zenjob's overall strategy. You’ll take ownership of the platform roadmap, setting clear objectives that balance short-term delivery with long-term scalability.
- Oversee the smooth and efficient go-live of new platform features, ensuring minimal disruption to stream-aligned teams.
- Work closely with your colleagues from Product, Engineering, Design and Data, providing feedback, input, and critical reviews of data-driven initiatives. Your collaboration will ensure that platform capabilities are informed by data insights and that technical decisions are supported by sound analysis.
- Champion technical best practices within the platform team, supporting efforts to improve developer experience, reduce technical debt, and drive reusability. You’ll ensure platform components are designed for scale, performance, and maintainability.
What you’ll bring
- A strong understanding of technical platforms gained through a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, OR through several years of experience as a Technical Product Manager working on platform development, technical infrastructure, or developer tools. Experience as a developer or engineering lead is a strong plus.
- A strong sense of ownership and accountability — you take responsibility for driving initiatives from start to finish, even when faced with ambiguity. You can work independently, prioritize effectively, and consistently deliver results that drive business impact.
- Fluency in English is required as it is the primary language of our global, cross-functional teams. You have the ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- German language skills are a plus.
