Technical Product Manager

Technical Product Manager will be responsible for:

Product Specification & Product Information (Full Responsibility):

  • Compliance with the technical characteristics of the product (specification).
  • Assistance in the preparation of the technical specification in case of segmentation (Premium, Quality, Budget).
  • Provision of all necessary technical product information/documentation.
  • Data and information preparation (technical) for various publications and presentations.

Product Development & Design (Full Responsibility):

  • Preparation of tests, as well as support in concept development, test execution and validation (interpretation of results)
  • Preparation of all relevant design documents (drawings, etc.).
  • Assist with product cost optimization proposals.

Technical product release (Full responsibility):

  • Monitoring and implementation of the legal requirements for the current product portfolio.
  • Participation in working groups in the affiliated associations.
  • Provision of all data and obtaining product approvals (homologations) in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Processing and approval of manufacturing deviations

Product Quality & Market Observation (Supporting Responsibility):

  • Technical support in the preparation of warranty reports for the handling of complaints.
  • Technical responsibility for the ongoing product portfolio throughout the entire product life cycle PLC.
  • Evaluation and analysis of competitor products.

Support for specialist departments / higher-level projects (Supporting responsibility):

  • Technical support for the creation of training content.
  • Support in the selection of suppliers and supplier qualification according to technical characteristics.
  • Participation or management of higher-level projects.
  • Technical support for packaging creation.
  • Technical support and business travels to supplier audits.
  • Trade fair and event support.

Portfolio Strategy (Supporting Responsibility):

  • Further development of the portfolio for which we are responsible in line with the product strategy.
  • Support in the identification of new and innovative product ideas and business opportunities, taking into account technological trends, customer needs and competition.
  • Technical evaluation of competitor products and performance of value analyses.

Program Coverage (Supporting Responsibility):

  • Prioritization of product inclusion decisions (technical criteria) according to the priority lists.
  • Ensuring the processing of product applications.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering 
  • 2 years of Technical - Product Management or Product Development or Project Management  experience
  • Experience with product benchmarking, supplier evaluation, technical product release, ECN approvals, and validation process
  • Experience & knowledge in product launch, specification and technical release
  • General Understanding of Automotive business
  • Flexibility to support 25% Domestic/International Travel
