Technical Product Manager | AI Engineering

About the Role

We're looking for an Technical Product Manager for the AI Uplift Engineering department that will be in charge of helping build a flexible, robust AI Platform and help us create new AI solutions for our customers. Based on an understanding of our internal and external customers' needs and the goals of the business, you'll set a vision, define outcomes, and then work with your team to bring solutions to life. Throughout, you'll clearly communicate vision, reason, and progress of your team.

Our target market is composed of content creators and marketing leaders at growing companies. We help companies leverage artificial intelligence to accelerate content production and unlock their best ideas. We see AI as a partner to content marketers that can help them break through writer’s block, create fine-tuned imagery, and repackage content for different formats, languages and tones. 

The role is open to candidates located in the US and can be remote within the United States. We have offices in Austin, TX and Salt Lake City, UT with employees based across the US and Australia. We've built a strong foundation to support remote employee engagement with other teams. What you will do at Jasper:

• Understand how Jasper's AI technology works and decide how to measure both short and long-term success for the various AI Engineering teams.
• Set vision, outcomes, and prioritization for the AI Engineering teams that build the AI models, developer experience, and core AI technologies that Jasper is built on top of.
• Communicate and balance the goals of the AI Engineering department as a Service Oriented organization.
• Identify problems to be solved and new Jasper use cases through a combination of internal customer research, stakeholder feedback, working with the data team to deeply understand user behavior and engagement metrics, and competitive analysis.
• Turn ambiguous problems and big ideas into a prioritized roadmap of AI solutions, experiments, and research with minimal guidance.
• Influence the direction and building of a fast-scaling AI platform and engineering organization.
• Communicate clearly and crisply with leadership stakeholders, driving alignment across multiple teams and organizations through some formal processes and some scrappy ways.

What you will bring:

• Are passionate about building artificial intelligence, finding good applications for it, and using machine learning for all different kinds of people.
• Come with a years-long track record of shipping high-quality solutions fast, often and without ego. You have examples of doing so at notable, fast-paced companies. You create an environment where the best idea wins and keep solutions focused on the problem at hand.
• Constantly remove ambiguity–seeing the big picture and understanding how the pieces fit together. You take disparate ideas and turn them into prioritized problems to research and solve with minimal guidance.
• Clearly write and communicate their ideas. You share your reasoning and outcomes with a data/metrics mentality.
• Are known for listening, building trust, and collaborating with teams throughout the company. Stakeholders you work with sing your praises on always feeling in the know. The designers and engineers you work with feel like equal partners and you constantly elevate their voices. The ones you've worked with would be sad to lose you.
• Have strong product judgment and the ability to make decisions intelligently and quickly. In a fast-paced environment, you understand the importance of when to unblock quickly, and when to dig in and understand something more thoroughly.

Compensation Range

At Jasper, we believe in pay transparency and are committed to providing our employees and candidates with access to information about our compensation practices. The expected base salary range at offer for this role is $160,000- $225,000. Compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, competencies and certifications.
