Role Overview and Responsibilities
We need our machines to run efficiently and be well looked after like they are your own and a Technical Operative is responsible for the effective running and basic maintenance of the machinery in production. Reporting to operations this role plays a key part in the smooth running of the production line. The equipment used will vary from box erectors to vertical form fillers and multihead weighers
Basic proactive maintenance of equipment and responding to first instance of blockages and stoppages
Carry out minor repairs on machinery and regular cleaning on equipment
Operate machinery as part of the production team and complete daily safety start up checks
Liaise with the Engineering department on matters associated with the equipment
Support the production team on clear down days to clean the picking loops and/or repack area
Who You Are
Previous experience gained within a similar role
Mechanically minded with working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organisational skills.
A confident and forward thinking team player.
Excellent attention to detail, flexibility and problem solving.
