Technical Lead - Ruby on Rails and NodeJS

We are seeking a skilled Technical Lead to join our dynamic team. As a Tech Lead, you will be responsible for developing high-quality applications using the NodeJS, Ruby, React, HTML, CSS, Javascript and leading a small team of developers. You will work closely with our cross-functional team, including designers, product managers, and other developers, to create seamless and engaging user experiences across multiple platform

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain software applications using NodeJS, Ruby on Rails, React, HTML, CSS, Javascript, TypeScript, and other related technologies.
  • Deploy on Heroku
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyse software requirements.
  • Design and implement efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
  • Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code following best practices.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and issues.
  • Perform unit testing and participate in code reviews to ensure software quality.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize application performance and scalability.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools related to Ruby on Rails, NodeJS and React.
  • Continuously enhance technical skills and share knowledge with the team.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Expert in Ruby on Rails.
  • Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React and NodeJS.
  • Experience with Heroku
  • Experience of database technologies (Postgres, Redis, SQL).
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Collaboration skills to effectively work within a cross-functional team.

Preferred Capabilities:

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
  • Knowledge of modern front-end frameworks like Angular or React.
  • Experience with QuickBooks integration
