We are seeking a dynamic and driven freelance Technical Leader/Project Manager to spearhead our technical projects, ensuring seamless execution from inception to delivery. The ideal candidate will not only possess a solid foundation in technical project organization and management but will also serve as a catalyst for innovation, guiding teams towards optimal solutions. What You'll Do

  • Technical Project Organization and Management:
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints.
  • Oversee project scope, resources, and dependencies to mitigate risks and maximize efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align project objectives with business goals.

  • Requirements Gathering:
  • Conduct thorough requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to capture project specifications and expectations.
  • Translate business requirements into actionable technical tasks, ensuring clarity and alignment among team members.

  • GitLab Expertise:
  • Leverage knowledge and familiarity with GitLab to streamline development workflows and enhance collaboration across teams.
  • Drive adoption of best practices within GitLab to optimize version control, code review, and continuous integration processes.

  • Sprint Planning Meetings:
  • Facilitate sprint planning meetings effectively, guiding developers through ticket prioritization, sizing exercises, and task assignments.
  • Foster a collaborative environment where team members contribute insights and collectively commit to sprint goals.

  • Documentation and Communication:
  • Demonstrate proficiency in writing comprehensive tickets, requirements documents (PRD), and technical documentation.
  • Communicate project progress, milestones, and challenges clearly and concisely to stakeholders, fostering transparency and alignment.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in technical project management, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, with hands-on experience in sprint planning and execution.
  • Familiarity with GitLab or similar version control platforms is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with a focus on driving results and continuous improvement.
