Our Gaming team is made up of hybrid-casual, casual, and mid-core experts. As part of our product strategy, we are excited to expand beyond the hypercasual and hybridcasual markets into the casual Match-3 space. Our mission is to release the next $1B Match 3 game, pioneering the next generation in this category.
Role
As the Technical Director for our new mobile Match-3 game studio, you will be responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of the game’s development from inception to launch. You will lead a team of engineers and work closely with designers, artists, and product managers to ensure the game is built to the highest standards. Your role will involve making key technical decisions, optimizing game performance, and ensuring the smooth integration of new features.
Key responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management:
Hire, lead and manage a team of engineers in the creation of a new mobile Match-3 game
Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to the development team
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and project milestones
- Technical oversight:
Oversee the architecture, design, and implementation of the game’s codebase from the ground up
Ensure the scalability, performance, and maintainability of the game
Conduct code reviews and enforce best coding practices
- Game development:
Develop and implement core gameplay systems and features for a match 3 game
Optimize game performance for various mobile devices
Work with the art and design teams to integrate assets and animations seamlessly.
- Problem-solving and innovation:
Identify and resolve technical issues and challenges during the development process
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies
Innovate and implement new features to enhance the gameplay experience
- Project management:
Assist in project planning and resource allocation for the new studio
Track progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders
Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget

Profile
- 3 years of experience as Technical Director or Technical Lead on games
- At least 6-7 years of professional experience on Unity or other game engines
- Successful track record in top-tier mobile games
- Experience growing engineering teams
- A creative and hacker mindset
- Familiar with optimization issues
- Good sense of gameplay experience and special attention to details
- Speak and write English
