NYC Alliance Company LLC is seeking a talented Technical Designer to join our team. As a Technical Designer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of our product designs and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain accurate and detailed technical specifications, including measurements, construction details, and fit comments
- Review and analyze samples to ensure they meet design and quality standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and sourcing, to ensure smooth product development and manufacturing processes
- Conduct fit sessions and provide feedback on garment fit and construction
- Communicate with suppliers and manufacturers to address any technical issues or concerns
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in garment construction techniques
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field
- 3+ years of experience as a Technical Designer in the apparel industry
- Proficiency in technical design software, such as Adobe Illustrator and Gerber Accumark
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, and patternmaking
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines
- Knowledge of PLM systems is a plus
